BlueBird presentation on SummerSoc 2025
On June 16, Dr. Melanie Heck presented BlueBird on the 19th Symposium and Summer School on Service-Oriented Computing - SummerSoc 2025 in Heraklion, Crete.
In her talk she focused on the need for energy demand flexibility to balance an electricity grid with a high share of renewables, and showed that buildings can and should be part of the solution. She explained how BlueBird is developing solutions to turn buildings into flexibility assets and how the flexibility of multiple buildings can be pooled so that they can participate in explicit demand response schemes.
