BlueBird Plenary meeeting in Stegersbach

On September 23-24, the BlueBird consortium gathered for its third plenary meeting in the beautiful town of Stegersbach in the south-east of Austria. The meeting was kindly hosted by Michael Niederkofler and Niklas Friedel from Enlion at the impressive solar.one building.

As part of the program, we visited Wasserverband Südliches Burgenland in the nearby village of Oberwart, where BlueBird is setting up a pilot. The goal: improve forecasting and scheduling of the power consumption of the water distribution systems, optimize the use of the retention tanks as storage assets, and ultimately build a virtual power plant to valorize this flexibility on energy markets.
