Sharing insights from BlueBird at two international conferences!
Last month, Mona Marie Bielig represented the BlueBird project at two inspiring events, showcasing how we empower end users to actively contribute to energy flexibility.
Int:net Conference – From Vision to Implementation: Interoperability for Europe’s Energy System

Invited by Ludwig Karg, Mona joined the final conference of the EU-funded int:net project as both a speaker and panelist. In her talk, she emphasized from a social science perspective how technical systems can fail if human adoption and decision-making are not considered. She linked these insights to BlueBird, highlighting the importance of the social factor in understanding and navigating flexibility in energy systems.
Conference of the Social Psychology Section (FGSP)

At the international FGSP conference, bringing together social psychology researchers, Mona presented the “Total Error Framework” for experimental field trials in the energy transition. Drawing from BlueBird and previous HORIZON projects RENergetic and DECIDE, she demonstrated how she and her team apply behavioral science and psychology insights to real-world implementation and shared strategies for navigating the complexity of field trials across diverse pilot settings.
