ACM e-Energy 2026 Conference
Last week, Giuseppe Gabriele had the opportunity to represent the BlueBird Project at the ACM e-Energy 2026 Conference, held in Banff, Canada, from June 21–25. The conference brought together researchers and practitioners working at the intersection of computing and sustainable energy.

The work presented addressed uncertainty in electric vehicle (EV) charging scheduling by combining Reinforcement Learning (RL) with Decision-Focused Learning (DFL). By explicitly accounting for uncertainty during the optimization process, this approach aims to produce more reliable charging schedules, ultimately contributing to a better charging experience and increased satisfaction for EV users.
It was a pleasure to share this work with the community, and engage in inspiring discussions.
