BlueBird Plenary meeting in Poznan
On October 6 & 7, we met in Poznan for the 6th plenary meeting of the BlueBird consortium, hosted by the Poznańskie Centrum Superkomputerowo-Sieciowe and Enea Operator.

Over the course of the meeting, we discussed the project’s progress and updates on the pilot implementations. We also got a closer look at the infrastructure behind the work, with visits to the PCSS data center—home to the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) AI Factory PIAST-AI and the PIAST-Q quantum computing infrastructure—and to an HV/MV transformer station managed by Enea Operator.

There was time too, to explore Poznan’s beautiful historic center and enjoy some great dinners together. And the weather was wonderful—global warming may have had something to do with it, though we’ll leave that question open!

Thanks to PCSS and Enea Operator for hosting us, and to everyone in the BlueBird consortium for the thoughtful discussions and warm company.
